 Bakalon is our brand name for the high strength aluminum pans with the durable, dark gray, hard-coat anodized surface...pans that will not chip, peel, rust, or interact with food. The Bakalon surface is not a painted "coating", but an integrated surface of aluminum oxide, tough enough to resist the use and abuse of commercial kitchens. A perfect bake can be achieved every time because the dark color of its surface absorbs radiant heat in the oven, rather than reflecting it. This allows even faster baking times at lower temperatures. And after seasoning, a little oil on the surface will keep food from sticking, making clean-up a snap. Pie plates can be manufactured in any size or design, and in any type or weight of material to meet your requirements. All pie plates can be supplied in 1C, 1X, 4X tinplate, Aluminized Steel, or aluminum.
Pie Plates can be embossed with our stock letters in 3/4", 1" or 1-1/2" heights for a nominal charge. Special designs can be furnished at a slight additional cost.
Preferred by some bakers to eliminate the possibility of a soggy bottom crust, perforations enable pies to bake quicker and result in an improved baked product.
